Canas de Bambu
A Pseudosasa Amabilis, ou Bambu Tonkin como é mais conhecida, é uma espécie nativa da China, Japão, Coreia e Vietname. Porém existem outras espécies que foram naturalizadas em regiões como na Europa Ocidental, África ou América do Norte. Este pode atingir os 6 a 7 metros de altura.
Foi durante uma visita a uma região da China por parte do fundador da Vinomatos, Lda. que tomámos contacto com o nosso atual fornecedor. O nosso fundador, após ver o longo trabalho manual a que as canas de bambu são sujeitas e constatar ao vivo a qualidade das mesmas, decidiu estabelecer esta parceria.
As canas de bambu, antes de chegarem às nossas instalações, ou mesmo às suas mãos, são sujeitos a um longo processo de tratamento manual. Quando se dá a apanha do caniçado de bambu, as canas de bambu encontram-se sujas, torcidas e com bastantes folhas. São então sujeitas a um primeiro processo de limpeza para posterior classificação.
As canas de bambu que no seu interior são mais espessas, conforme ilustra a imagem acima, são então separadas das demais e classificadas como canas de bambu de qualidade superior, sendo as restantes, postas de parte e sujeitas a nova avaliação.
Quando falamos então que o nosso bambu é de uma qualidade superior à oferecida pela generalidade de outras marcas, falamos precisamente neste segundo processo de tratamento e seleção. Os nossos tutores de bambu são do lote que fica classificado como de qualidade superior, sendo que posteriormente as canas de bambu são sujeitas ao corte nos tamanhos que solicitamos.
Recordamos que uma cana de bambu poderá ter até 6m de altura, sendo que a nossa variedade de tamanhos, resulta sempre do primeiro corte feito junto à base das canas de bambu. Desta forma, certificamo-nos que o nosso bambu é sempre o mais espesso, pois é junto à base que as canas de bambu são mais resistentes.
Quando falamos no diâmetro do tutor de bambu, falamos precisamente da largura total da cana de bambu, na sua base, onde o corte é realizado. Ou seja, quando dizemos que um tutor de bambu, tem 0,90 m de altura e diâmetro de 10/12, estamos a querer dizer que na base da cana de bambu, o corte poderá variar entre 10 a 12 milímetros, sendo que este diâmetro varia ao longo do comprimento da cana.
A cana de bambu, ou tutor de bambu, na maneira como é aplicado e utilizado na agricultura, fica com uma parte enterrada na terra, sendo que a restante parte que fica à mostra fica agarrada à planta, servindo como suporte ao crescimento da planta, ajudando a que estas cresçam de forma saudável, mantendo a forma desejada.
